What can I do to keep my flower garden looking healthy? I have pansies and they look pitiful..?

It is normal for pansies to wither up and die during the hot summer months. They like cool (even cold) weather. Pull them up and plant petunias in their place. The petunias will last until a hard frost. When the petunias start looking puny, pull them up and plant more pansies.

Reply:I hope your pansies flourish this fall when it cools off! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my fav flower -- petunia!

Reply:Pansies are cool season plants. Plant them in the fall, and they go through the winter and die when it gets hot. If you still have pansies, they're way past their shelf life. They're cool season annuals. Go plant some warm season annuals- vinca, impatiens, petunias, dianthus, etc.
Reply:Depends on where you live. In California, it's too late in the season for pansies. They're best in winter and early spring. In the summer, try marigolds, zinnias, petunias, geraniums....
Reply:Feed them plant food.. mix with water .. then your hose and just spray until your bottle is empty..

Spring showers, brought May flowers, and may flowers

brought the Pilgrims..Lol, Lol...
Reply:Try feeding them vitamin B, of coarse they need water. Pansies I think need full sun; they won't do well in the shade. To help flowers and others plants to produce flowers and fruit use

0-10-10 which is a fertilizer that is sometimes called full bloom.
Reply:Miracle grow. Use the feeder attachment on your hose. Works wonder. Also pansies do well in part/full sun but they do need their water to grow to full potential.
